Amy at the Angel Awards

Sorry these took me a couple days to get up. I was waiting on HQ versions to come through and I think it was worth the wait as Amy looks absolutely amazing! Her hair is styled a little differently and it looks like she’s gone to a darker shade of red.  More photos might be coming (still waiting to see if I can get them untagged) so keep checking back.

Possible Amy appearance tonight!

Project Angel Food is holding their annual Angel Awards tonight (August 21st) and I just received word that Amy is supposedly scheduled to present Paramount Pictures with an award. I can find no official confirmation on the site or in any Google news alerts so this may just be a rumor. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that it isn’t and that I’ll have some new Amy photos to post very soon.

‘Dr. Vegas’ screencaptures

I am still slowly working on going through the old gallery at amy-adams.org looking for photos that we’re missing here. I was pleased to discover screencaptures from Amy’s 2005 television show Dr. Vegas. It is extremely difficult to find any photos or information about this short-lived show so even though the screencaptures are low quality, I’ve added them to the gallery. I will be adding the rest within the next day or two.

‘Leap Year’ screencaptures

I have finally added the remaining screencaptures from Leap Year to the gallery. Unfortunately, there wasn’t very many special features on the DVD – only deleted scenes. So those and screencaptures of the DVD menus have been added.

‘Pennies’ coming to R2 DVD

I just received notice that a DVD is being released in the UK on August 16th called Love and Distrust. The DVD is a compilation of five short films including Amy’s 2006 short Pennies. While we already have low quality screencaptures of this project in our gallery, I would love to get DVD quality versions. If you are planning on buying and/or renting this movie and have the capability of capping it for us, please email me.

Amy at Jennifer Klein’s Day of Indulgence

Amy has made her first public appearance since the birth of Aviana back in May. She was at the 12th Annual Day of Indulgence hosted by Jennifer Klein. I’ve only been able to find one photo so far but I will of course add more if they surface. I have to say, it’s good to see Amy out and about again!

More info about ‘On the Road’

I am so excited about this project! Amy’s character is so unlike anything she’s ever played before. It’s going to be amazing, I just know it. Since I have not read the book (it’s still sitting in my to read pile), I don’t know how large of a role Amy will have. Can one of my awesome visitors enlighten us? Anyway, I’ve gathered some more tidbits of information to help tide us over until set photos come in.

On the Road is a novel by American writer Jack Kerouac, written in April 1951, and published by Viking Press in 1957. It is a largely autobiographical work that was based on the spontaneous road trips of Kerouac and his friends across mid-century America. It is often considered a defining work of the postwar Beat Generation that was inspired by jazz, poetry, and drug experiences. While many of the names and details of Kerouac’s experiences are changed for the novel, hundreds of references in On the Road have real-world counterparts.

When the book was originally released, The New York Times hailed it as “the most beautifully executed, the clearest and most important utterance” of Kerouac’s generation. The novel was chosen by Time magazine as one of the 100 best English-language novels from 1923 to 2005.

Filming is rumored to have already begun in Montreal. They are also scheduled to shoot in Mexico and New Orleans.

Amy joins ‘On the Road’

Breaking news Amy fans! According to this source, Amy will be joining Viggo Mortensen and Kristen Stewart in On the Road, an adaption of the Jack Kerouac novel. Filming is scheduled to begin this month so we’ll hopefully get to see some on the set pics soon.

She will play Jane, the emotionally damaged junkie mother of two children and the wife of Old Bull Lee. Mortensen is going to play Lee.
