Grand opening!
Hello and welcome to Enchanting Amy! This is a brand new site dedicated to the lovely and very talented Amy Adams. And while there are already many wonderful sites dedicated to Miss Adams on the web already, Enchanting Amy is the only one that offers a gallery full of photos that are not fansite tagged. Also, I wanted a simple approach to this fansite and for it to have a more blog-like feel to it.
I hope you, the visitors, enjoy Enchanting Amy. There’s still a lot of photos to be added (I still have all of 2006-2008 to do), and a few more additions to the content of the site. Please be sure to come back soon and don’t forget to leave a comment or two while you’re here! If you have and questions/contributions, you can email me at fansites[AT]hotmail.com

Another new interview
Amy Adams thinks we hate her. “Red hair is not a good thing here, is it?” says Hollywood’s hottest redhead.
“You call them gingers, right? I’ve had insults. My father is nice enough to inform me of everything online.”
Insults such as? “Oh, something like I’m an ugly ginger and I should have stayed blonde.”
Eek. On behalf of our nation, I apologise.
Still, going ginger seems to have worked well for natural blonde Adams.
Since appearing as Leo Di-Caprio’s wide-eyed wife in Catch Me If You Can and bagging an Oscar nomination for indie drama Junebug, she’s become Hollywood’s hottest property.

‘Doubt’ screencaptures
Doubt has yet to be released on DVD but I did manage to find a file to make screencaptures from. This makes Enchanting Amy the first Amy site to bring you screencaptures of Amy’s incredible performance.

Amy Adams – Not so innocent abroad
Oscar-nominated actress Amy Adams tells Lesley O’Toole that although she’s genetically happy, she is nothing like the wide-eyed naif of her roles
Art does not often imitate life, except in the case of double Academy Award nominee Amy Adams. Her biggest film yet, 2007′s latterday fairy-tale blockbuster Enchanted, saw its singing-dancing heroine find herself and her prince. In real life, Adams – who earned her first nomination for teeny indie Junebug in 2006 and her second this year for a film its polar opposite in every regard, Doubt – has enjoyed much the same trajectory. Last year she became engaged to her boyfriend of six years, actor and painter Darren Le Gallo. This year she has a serious shot at winning her first Academy Award in the unpredictable Best Supporting Actress category.
If she does, she will have many people to thank: her large family for starters (she has six siblings) and not least Emily Blunt. The pair play screen sisters in the upcoming Sunshine Cleaning but it was Blunt who first got her hands on the script for Doubt, the heavyweight film version of John Patrick Shanley’s Tony Award-winning play. She recognised that Sister James, a pivotal, wide-eyed character in the tale of a priest in Sixties New York accused of abusing one of his young male charges, was tailor-made for Adams and encouraged her friend to pursue it.
