This was an update I started to put together before the excitement of the New York Julie & Julia premiere hit.  I’ve added scans from several magazines that Amy was featured in – including the newest issue of Ladies’ Home Journal.  Elke kindly provided the Cosmopolitan and Premiere (Czech) scans while Megan donated the April Allure scans.  Big thanks to the two of you.  Also added is a MQ photo from what looks to be a Julie & Julia press junket and a few new additions to a couple photoshoots.

Amy made the  rounds  on the talk shows last night and today to promote Julie & Julia Thanks to Brianne we have HD caps and clips.

I have one word for Amy’s dress: WOW!  She is of course at tonight’s New York premiere of Julie & Julia and she looks simply stunning.  I have added the first small batch of HQ photos to the gallery and will be up most of the night finding and adding more.

Edit: Lots more photos have been added, including a few from the after party.  I have also just learned that the dress Amy is wearing was designed by Carolina Herrera.

As you already know, Amy was on Good Morning America this morning as part of the Julie & Julia promotion.  My lovely co-web Becca should be working on screencaptures of her appearance (along with all the other appearances this week).  Until those become available, enjoy these MQ photos I found of the segment.

An unexpected surprise.  I just received word that there will be a New York premiere of Julie & Julia and Amy is scheduled to appear.  Thank you Annie for emailing me the link.

Want to catch a glimpse of Meryl Streep and Amy Adams walk the red carpet? Your golden opportunity is here! “Julie & Julia,” will premiere today at the Ziegfield Theater.

The theater is located on 141 West 54th street. Red carpet arrivals will begin around 6pm. There is so much buzz surrounding Meryl Streep’s performance, you never know what other stars will show up.

And if I haven’t said it before, I really appreciate all the emails, comments, and donations.  Becca and I try our best to cover Amy Adams news the best we can but sometimes things get missed.  It’s really helps a lot when visitors contribute – even in little ways like sending a news link.  So thank you everyone!

I’ve found two blogs which contain various bits of the same interview with Amy, Meryl, and Nora which was held on July 27th.  I am posting them both here so be sure to continue reading – it’s long!

Version One

The Julie & Julia tornado touched down in Beverly Hills on July 27. The stars and writer-director were hours away from the film’s West Coast premiere, but Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Nora Ephron generously took the time to meet with six bloggers (3 food/3 film) for a roundtable discussion about the movie and their connection to food and cooking. Here are some of the highlights:

Q: What drew each of you to the story, to the film?

Meryl Streep: I read Nora’s script which was extremely beautiful and interesting and I thought probably not commercial whatsoever and I was very worried about her sanity and her financing and everything else, but they were willing to give us the money and I think it’s turned out really, really well!

I just really loved the story of these two women looking for their calling. I just thought it was extremely touching and also sort of elliptically written, not hammered on the head. It’s so hard to find beautifully, subtly written things.

Amy Adams: It was gentle.

Meryl Streep: There was a whole energy that was unique.
