I guess if that’s the most salacious thing they can dig up then I’m doing OK.

With a baby on the way, ‘Leap Year’ actress Amy Adams says she is doing “pretty good.”

“I’m surprised how tired I get. I’ve learned that when you get tired, you need to lie down and have a cookie,” she tells PopEater.

And when she’s resting, she can’t help but watch ‘Law and Order: SVU’ marathons. “Even if you know you’ve seen the episode before, you know at some point Chris Meloni is going to take his shirt off and that’s always good,” Adams adds.

So you shot ‘Leap Year’ (in theaters NOW) in Ireland, not very pretty and with Matthew Goode.
Yeah, right, between the countryside, and Matthew it was all one big eyesore. No, it was beautiful and he’s so handsome especially in this role which is so masculine.

Everyone there must have thought you were Irish.
I was able to pull it off until I opened my mouth.

In this movie, you propose to your boyfriend and in real life you’re engaged. Did you propose or were you old school?
I was old school. I waited for him to propose, but I waited six years.

Were you like Hello??
I was the first two years, but then I realized that we were going to be together and I loved him so much that I just relaxed. He’s sitting right next to me now.

Did you have to say you love him so much because he’s sitting next to you?
I was going to say ‘Yes’ but no, the answer is no.

You have beautiful alabaster skin.
Yes, I’m one of those people with the huge collection of embarrassing, floppy hats that cover my shoulders and I put on like SPF 100.

You’re pregnant and due in the Spring. How are you feeling?
Pretty good, but I’m surprised how tired I get, and I’ve learned that when you get tired, you need to lie down and have a cookie, that there is no reserve of energy to keep going like before.

I found Lifetime movies very helpful when resting.
And ‘Law and Order: SVU’ marathons. Even if you know you’ve seen the episode before you know at some point Chris Meloni is going to take his shirt off and that’s always good.

You’ve done two movies with Meryl Streep. Give her any tips on set?
I can’t even think of a tip that I said like, ‘Ms. Streep, you’ve got something on your tooth.’

You don’t call her Ms. Streep do you?
I alternate only because I’m in such awe of her. I guess I’m old fashioned that way. I call people Mr. and Mrs., and Ma’am and Sir, even people that are younger than me. It was the way I was raised.

You’re background is in musical theater. When are you going to do a Broadway show?
I would love to do one. Last night we went to see ‘Mary Poppins,’ and it was great. I love the immediacy between the performers and the audience.

Every single article about you mentions that you worked as a hostess at Hooters for five minutes a million years ago.
It’s almost funny. I worked there for three months — more years ago than I care to mention, more than half my lifetime. I guess if that’s the most salacious thing they can dig up then I’m doing OK.

So your sex tape is carefully packed away.
It’s burnt. I never understood those, and I never understood selling them! I also don’t get lying or stealing.

You’re a nice girl.
I try to live by the golden rule. If you don’t want it done to you then you probably shouldn’t do it to someone else.
