Surprise Vanessa Redgrave is listed. She was awful in Letters to Juliet!

Not to take anything away from this (it’s always great to get recognition), but I wouldn’t put much weight on the Satellite Awards. It has never been a reliable predictor of the Oscars.

On the other hand, the National Board of Review was just announced. Christian Bale won for Best Supporting Actor, and The Fighter was one of their top 11 movies of the year. Jackie Weaver (Animal Kingdom) won for Supporting Actress. The rest of the top prizes went to The Social Network.

Yeah, I agree Mac. The Satellite Awards are not an indication of any of the “bigger” award nominations. But like you said, it’s always nice to get some recognition.
