Financially on shaky ground yet determined to send her son to a top private school, Rose Lorkowski teams up with her unreliable sister, Norah, to start a new company that specializes in biohazard removal and crime scene cleanup. Tired of doing all of the work for other people, whether in her job cleaning homes or in her failed relationships, Rose is finally ready to use her entrepreneurial spirit to tidy up her own life.
Amy’s Role
Amy plays Rose Lorkowski, a single mom trying to make ends meet. In order to raise enough money to send her son to a private school she starts her own crime scene cleanup business with her slightly flaky younger sister Norah. As they struggle with learning the ropes of the job, they both learn how to deal with the of their mother when they were children and how to finally become independent – from each other and from the messes in their lives.
Amy’s performance is honest, and simple – something she excels at. She plays Rose with just the right combination of insecurity and confidence. This is one of my favorite Amy roles, and movie.
