More talk show appearances have been added to the Julie & Julia promotion.  A list, which also includes the already announced Regis and Kelly appearance, is below.

• July 29th – David Lettermen
• July 30th – Regis and Kelly
• August 7th – The View (also with Meryl and Nora Ephron)

According to my source, Amy is scheduled to be on Live with Regis and Kelly on July 30th.  I’ve also just been informed that the Los Angeles premiere of Julie & Julia will be held on July 27th.  Looks like we’ll have a couple busy days (and hopefully a ton of new photos) next week.

In unrelated site news, I’ve added more photos of Amy on the set of The Fighter from yesterday.

In her new movie, Julie & Julia, the actress takes to the kitchen as Julie Powell, a frustrated government employee whose life changes when she vows to cook and blog about all the recipes in Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking. We caught up with the Oscar-nominated star to ask about her own culinary skills and why simplicity is the best ingredient of all.

Did reading Julie & Julia, the book on which the movie was based, influence you at all?
It did. The writer wasn’t a professional chef. I think cooking can be a bit intimidating if it’s something you don’t do all the time. The book gave me courage to try new things in my own life.

For the movie, you learned how to debone a duck. Did you learn anything else?
I learned how to poach an egg, which sounds easier than it is. How to cut a tomato and an onion properly was a big deal. I made lobster thermidor, hollandaise sauce, mayonnaise, trussed chicken. I also learned to make an omelet without using a spatula.

According to this source, Amy and Meryl Streep will be featured in the August issue of Ladies’ Home Journal to promote their upcoming movie Julie & Julia.  The first photo from the photoshoot has been added to the gallery and I will of course add more if I find them.

I’ve been trying to find an HD quality version of the trailer for Julie & Julia but every one I’ve gotten so far has not been giving me good screencaps.  I’ve taken some MQ ones for now and I will add HD versions just as soon as I can.
