There are rumors going around that there might be a possible sequel to one of Amy’s hit film, Enchanted. Please keep in mind that this is just a rumor, any confirmations and we will let you know!

Disney is hoping to charm auds again with a sequel to “Enchanted,” hiring Jessie Nelson to pen a script for the live-action fairy tale that “The Proposal” helmer Anne Fletcher is attached to direct.

Barry Josephson and Barry Sonnenfeld will return as producers.

Mouse House is keen on getting another installment of “Enchanted” on the bigscreen — perhaps as early as next year — after the 2007 pic, which starred Amy Adams, James Marsden, Patrick Dempsey and Susan Sarandon, earned more than $340 million worldwide. It earned $123 million domestically and helped Adams break out. Bill Kelly (“Blast From the Past”) penned the original.

First film had languished in development for years as filmmakers like Sonnenfeld struggled with a way to tackle its comedic tone, musical numbers and blend of animation and live-action sequences.

“Enchanted 2″ fits perfectly with the studio’s plans to make more movies that define the Disney brand. Project is Disney’s riff on its classic fairy-tale features, revolving around Giselle, a princess who is banished from her animated world by an evil queen and thrown onto the live-action streets of Manhattan to fend for herself.

Studio will likely try to bring back the first film’s stars.

I think any woman that intends on having a career and a family simultaneously thinks about the challenge of balancing that, and also balancing that with the relationship and keeping that going well. It’s definitely something that’s on my mind.

During our AFM coverage, we premiered the promo poster for The Promised Land (formerly The Wettest Country in the World), the next film from director John Hillcoat and writer Nick Cave (who previously teamed up to make The Proposition) with Shia LaBeouf, Ryan Gosling, and Amy Adams set to star. However, in tiny print at the bottom was the note “credits not contractual”. With that in mind, it looks like Amy Adams won’t be heading to The Promised Land now that she is with child.

During the press junket for her upcoming film Leap Year, Adams said that she just finished David O. Russell’s The Fighter and that she’ll be taking a break from filmmaking until next summer. While it sucks that the highly talented Adams won’t be part of Hillcoat’s killer collaboration, hopefully they’ll find a replacement of equal or greater talent. Unfortunately for The Promised Land, there aren’t many who measure up to Adams.

I’ve been keenly eyeing news on John Hillcoat’s potential adaptation of The Wettest County in the World, scripted by Nick Cave based on the novel by Matt Bondurant. There’s been significant maybe/hopefully casting news for the film so far, but not much more. Hillcoat seems to have Shia LaBeouf and Ryan Gosling interested and/or attached, and there was word that other actors, like Scarlett Johansson and Michael Shannon, were interested. Now, based on some art from the American Film Market, it appears that the leading female role will go, in an ideal world, to Amy Adams. And the film may just have a slightly shorter and more generic title: The Promised Land.

A new project is in the works for Amy looks like :)

Rarely has a rough night of drinking paid off so well. Zach Galifianakis, breakout star of ‘The Hangover’ and HBO’s ‘Bored to Death,’ is close to signing on to headline in ‘Town House’ alongside Amy Adams (‘Julie and Julia’), according to report from Variety.

Doug Wright and ‘Once’ writer-director John Carney have adapted the screenplay from Tish Cohen’s comical debut
novel for Fox 2000, and have been trying to build ‘Town House’ into a feature since 2007, only to be torpedoed by the writers’ strike that year. Ridley and Tony Scott are producing the flick, and hoping to get started next summer.

The story revolves around an agoraphobic New Englander who lives in a historic-but-crumbling building with his teenage son. He has to start dealing with adulthood as the royalties from his late rock-star dad start drying up. Into the picture comes a friendly call girl, one of several oddball types passing through the house.

Our take: ‘Town House’ has the potential to be ‘About a Boy’ meets ‘Pretty Woman’ — but with wicked good Boston accents and more facial hair.

Amy Adams is in final negotiations to star opposite Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg in “The Fighter,” which David O. Russell is directing for Relativity Media. Paramount is distributing the drama domestically.

The movie revolves around the life of boxer “Irish” Mickey Ward (Wahlberg) and trainer-brother Dick Eklund (Bale), chronicling their early days on the rough streets of Lowell, Mass., through Eklund’s battle with drugs and Ward’s eventual world championship in London.

Adams will play Charlene, a tough, gritty bartender and former college high-jumper from Massachusetts who ends up dating Mickey.

Melissa Leo also has been cast as Wahlberg and Bale’s mother.

Mandeville partners David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are producing with Paul Tamasy and Dorothy Aufiero.

The movie begins shooting next month in Lowell.
