I’ve added well over 70 HQ photos of Amy at last night’s Los Angeles premiere of The Fighter. More are coming soon! I’ve also found out that was wearing a pleated gray dress designed by J. Mendel. She added some spicy color by choosing bright red heels and lipstick to match.

Orlando Sentinel just posted a short article about Amy written by their movie critic Roger Moore. A short blurb is below and you can read the full thing after the cut or at the original source.

“And the man walking the dog in the background of the scene is actually a priest. I thought, ‘Oh great. Let’s get this over with quick.’ But David [O. Russell, the director of "The Fighter"] kept going, ‘Call him something DIFFERENT!’ I was like, ‘I don’t KNOW any more swear words, David! My vocabulary is depleted.’”

IGN just posted an exclusive brand new trailer for The Fighter. Out of the three trailers that have been released so far, this one is my favorite (even if you don’t see quite as much Amy in it).  You can view the new trailer after the cut.

Hollywood Notebook: Amy Adams

Categories: 'The Fighter', Articles & Reviews

Found a short article about Amy this morning. Love the quote about looking like a girl who couldn’t punch.

Most of Amy Adams’ roles have been likable characters, none more than Giselle in “Enchanted.” It’s easy to cast her in such parts; she does look like the sweet girl next door.

A steady diet of such roles can make an actor anxious.

So when director David O. Russell heard Adams was looking for grittier parts, he thought of her for his new film, “The Fighter.” He cast her as Charlene, the spirited girlfriend to Mark Wahlberg’s character.

The director had one concern.

“When I got the role, David informed me that I looked like a girl who couldn’t punch,” Adams says. “Which made me want to punch him.”

Being able to handle herself in a fight was important because there’s one scene where Charlene beats the curls off of a young woman who keeps insulting her. To prepare for the scene, Adams took a couple of boxing lessons.

“I didn’t want to hurt the girl that I was fighting with,” Adams says. “When I was younger, my sister thought it was funny to pretend to punch me in the face. … So I’ve always been a little afraid of fake punches.”

Another press conference interview

Another great interview with Amy at the press conference for The Fighter has been released. It was posted on YouTube in three separate parts with the total running time being about 16 minutes. Like the one I posted from David Poland a couple days ago, this is a fantastic interview. She talks about Aviana (we hear how to pronounce the name), On the Road, The Muppets, and of course, The Fighter. Once the holiday weekend is over, I’m hoping to get our media archive up to date and will be adding these three videos plus a whole lot more. For now, you can view them via the YouTube links after the cut.

A new batch of stills from The Fighter has been released and I’ve added all I could find to the gallery. In related news, the world premiere for the movie is rumored to be taking place on December 6th – just a few days prior to its official release date of December 10th. I imagine that Amy will begin the talk show rounds around the same time to promote the movie. We here at Enchanting will of course be bringing you any photo and screencapture coverage as quickly as possible.
