Not only has Meryl pulled out of the June 1st reading of Alan Alda’s Radiance, it looks like Amy has as well. I hope those of you that bought tickets especially to see them are able to get a refund.

Tony nominee Mireille Enos will join the previously reported Maggie Gyllenhaal, Allison Janney, Liev Schreiber, David Morse, and Bill Camp in a reading of Alan Alda’s new play, Radiance: The Passion of Marie Curie, which will be presented as part of the 2011 World Science Festival’s Opening Night Gala Celebration on Wednesday, June 1 at Alice Tully Hall. Enos replaces the previously announced Amy Adams.

Yes, the title may sound a little odd. But the New York Times is reporting that Amy, along with Meryl Streep, Allison Janney, Liev Schreiber, and David Morse are all scheduled to participate in a reading of Alan Alda’s new play Radiant: The Passion of Marie Curie at this year’s World Science Festival in New York City. Marie Curie was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the first person ever to win two. She is credited with discovering radium and polonium and was a pioneer for women in the science profession.

The reading will take place on the festival’s opening night of June 1st and tickets go on sale any time now. For more information about the festival and to purchase tickets, click the link here.

Back in 2004, Amy was featured on both the front and back cover of a book about making it in showbiz called “Going Hollywood”. I found and added some decent quality pics of both covers to our gallery. Amy looks so adorable in this photoshoot!

I am still slowly working on going through the old gallery at amy-adams.org looking for photos that we’re missing here. I was pleased to discover screencaptures from Amy’s 2005 television show Dr. Vegas. It is extremely difficult to find any photos or information about this short-lived show so even though the screencaptures are low quality, I’ve added them to the gallery. I will be adding the rest within the next day or two.

I finally managed to finish watching and capping Moonlight Serenade.  While the movie itself is nothing special, Amy is good in it and it’s nice to hear her sing.  Anyway, enjoy the over 1300 screencaptures including the menus from the DVD.

At the request of the studio, the previous cover we posted of Amy’s straight to DVD release of Moonlight Serenade has been removed.  They were kind enough to send us a HQ version of the correct cover and that has been added to the gallery.  Don’t forget to order your copy now as it’s available on R1 DVD this Tuesday.
