It’s Mother’s Day here in the States so I want to take a moment to wish Amy lots of joy and happiness today. Aviana will be celebrating her 1st birthday in a week as well so this month must be so amazing for Amy and her family.

Alice Ward Dies at 79

While not exactly Amy related, I still felt it was relevant. My condolences go out to the Ward family and friends.

The mother and manager of retired boxing champion Micky Ward has died aged 79.

Alice Ward, who was played by Melissa Leo in the Oscar-winning film The Fighter, was taken off a life support machine at a Boston hospital while surrounded by her family.

Her son, Dicky Eklund, confirmed her death on Wednesday after she suffered a heart attack in January and described his mother as ‘the leader of our family’.

Amy Adams selected a strapless teal blue gown by Marchesa, which featured lasercut detailing on its scalloped bodice, for her walk down the Golden Globes red carpet. “This is our first time dressing Amy and we couldn’t be more thrilled,” Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig told InStyle.com exclusively. “She is always so elegant.” This Marchesa creation is part of the label’s pre-fall 2011 collection, and the designers shared an exclusive sketch of the look, shown left, with InStyle! Adams, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress that night, finished the look with a rectangle clutch by Kilian Hennessy.

I want to wish Amy, Darren, Aviana, and all the loyal Enchanting Amy visitors a very merry Christmas and holidays. Have fun and most importantly, be safe! Due to it being Christmas weekend, the site likely won’t be updated over the next few days. I have some treats lined up and ready to go for next week including tons more videos for our archive, a year in review look back at 2010, and a couple other goodies.
