Just a quick post to let my faithful visitors know that I will be updating the scripts on the site to the latest versions.  This should in no way affect anything but if the site is running a little slow or if something looks “funny”, the updates are probably the culprit.  If the problem persists, don’t hesitate to contact me.

EDIT: Updates are now complete and everything seems to have gone smoothly. If you have any issues with the main site or the gallery please let me know.

Amy news is still really slow right now and I imagine that it will remain so until well after the baby is born.  I’ve gotten a few emails recently from several people with links and donations of some recent candid photos of Amy.  While we here love donations and they are always very much appreciated, we are no longer posting candid photos on the site.  Photos of Amy arriving or leaving official events and photos of Amy on the set of movies are still welcome but we feel that any that feature her in her day to day life are intrusive and are something that Amy herself would probably not want posted on a site that’s supposed to respect and admire her.  If you want to read the original post made on the subject, you can find it here.

With many thanks to the very talented Laura, Amy Images has a brand new layout!  I wanted something light and pretty and summer like and Laura did an amazing job.  The photos are from our very own session #009 that was taken in 2009.  There are a few minor things that I need to fix (the second ad code) but I wanted to get it up right away.  I hope you all like it as much as I do.  Be sure to leave a comment about it!

As you all know, Becca and I were kind of torn on posting candid photos.  We enjoyed seeing photos of Amy in her day to day life and felt that as long as she didn’t seem to be bothered by them, it was ok to post them.  Well, the recent interview I just posted has changed our minds.  In the interview, she seems really uncomfortable with the paparazzi attention:

A photographer climbed a fence once and took pictures of me and my mom having a barbecue. That was awful.

What I’d like to know is who tips the paparazzi that I’m at Target. How do they know when I’m shopping for toilet paper? Fred Segal’s is one thing but at Target? I was really heartbroken when that happened. Shopping at Target is one of the few remaining normal things I do. I love Target.

In light of Amy’s now obvious discomfort, we have decided to enforce a no candids policy at the site.  Photos of her arriving for events and outside of studios for talk show appearances will remain.  As will photos of Amy on the set of any films she’s working on.  Any photos of her shopping, at a restaurant, at the airport, etc. will no longer be posted.  All candid photos that were previously posted on the site have been removed.

Becca and I understand that this may disappoint some of our visitors but we are here to pay homage to Amy’s career as an actress.  We admire and respect her and would never intentionally do anything to make her feel uncomfortable.  I personally feel that it would show a lack of respect for her if we were to continue photos that she finds invasive and discomforting.

Amy news is really slow right now so I wanted to take a moment to remind our loyal visitors about some of the fun things you can find at Enchanting:

As you know, Enchanting Amy does post the occasional candid photo of our girl.  We try to be as respectful as possible and only post photos of her on the set or where it appears she doesn’t mind the paparazzi taking her photo.  Candid photos can be an invasion of privacy and we never want to post anything that would cross that line.  That being said, Amy’s pregnancy will likely cause the paps to hound her more.  Since I am torn on posting candid photos of the baby bump, I’m curious to know what the visitors think.  Please post your thoughts and concerns as a comment to this message.  Thank you.

The Enchanting Amy media archive is now open!  It’s already home to over 60 video clips with more sitting on my computer waiting to be added.  Becca has uploaded the most recent Amy appearances on various talk shows so you can view those along with movie trailers, film clips, event appearances and more.

Not only are you able to stream any of the videos in the archives anytime you’d like, you can also register as a member and post videos yourself.  Registration is free and it’s simple so join today!

I know the previous layout wasn’t up for very long but I just had to put something together to showcase the new photos we have.  I wanted something very simple and clean that focused completely on the images.  As with all my websites, the layout looks best in the latest version of Firefox although it looks good in IE as well.  I hope you all like it!

Just a small site  update  from  me for today.  I have been working on putting a bare-bones  version of a filmography  page up here at Enchanting. We will be filling it in with more details soon Put for now you can see a full list  Amy’s  projects. Again  if you have anything that would help us  fill in the gaps on the things we don’t have in the gallery feel free to donate it. We will give you full credit.

One of the goals here at Enchanting Amy is to provide fans with the largest and most complete collection of Amy Adams photos on the web. As you can tell, me and Becca have been working hard these past couple weeks to accomplish this goal. However, there are a few items which are proving quite difficult to find.
