Last update today (I think lol). I have finally finished gathering and sorting arrival photos from this year’s Academy Awards. I’m really sorry it took me this long to get them uploaded to the site but I hope that the gallery being updated with over 400 new photos will help make up for it. Amy of course was wearing that gorgeous L’Wren Scott deep blue sequined gown with black Salvatore Ferragamo heels and striking emerald and silver Cartier jewelry.

Joaquin Phoenix has officially signed up to the cast of P.T. Anderson’s new film.

The actor will play an alcoholic drifter who joins a religious cult led by Philip Seymour Hoffman’s character, before having doubts about his faith, Deadline reports.

Anderson is reportedly considering Amy Adams, Laura Dern and Lena Endre for the lead female roles.

The project of adding missing photos to the gallery continues! After the Oscars this year, Amy made a brief appearance at the Governors Ball before heading over to the Vanity Fair party. I’ve added ten photos from the ball to our gallery.

I’ve added to the gallery a small scan (hence putting it in photoshoots and not scans) featuring a portrait of Amy taken with Doubt director John Patrick Stanley. From the gown she is wearing, this was likely taken during or after the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards in 2009. I am searching for the magazine this is from and will add scans if I am able to find it.

Yes, the title may sound a little odd. But the New York Times is reporting that Amy, along with Meryl Streep, Allison Janney, Liev Schreiber, and David Morse are all scheduled to participate in a reading of Alan Alda’s new play Radiant: The Passion of Marie Curie at this year’s World Science Festival in New York City. Marie Curie was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the first person ever to win two. She is credited with discovering radium and polonium and was a pioneer for women in the science profession.

The reading will take place on the festival’s opening night of June 1st and tickets go on sale any time now. For more information about the festival and to purchase tickets, click the link here.

It’s Mother’s Day here in the States so I want to take a moment to wish Amy lots of joy and happiness today. Aviana will be celebrating her 1st birthday in a week as well so this month must be so amazing for Amy and her family.

A dinner was held at the Cartier Mansion in New York last night to celebrate MoMA’s annual Party in the Garden. Amy was in attendance and she looked elegant in a simple knee length, scoop neck LBD designed by L’Wren Scott. Black peep toes, black clutch, and black nails completed the look.

Several blogs around the web are reporting that Amy is on the shortlist to play one of the sisters in Disney’s upcoming Wizard of Oz prequel Oz, the Great and Powerful. Rachel Weisz and Mila Kunis have already been cast as Theodora and Evanora respectively so if cast, Amy would likely play Glinda. This is all unsubstantiated rumors as far as I can tell but it’s still an interesting bit of news – especially if true. Amy would make a phenomenal Glinda (though I think one of the other two roles would have been a more intriguing choice). Some other actresses on this supposed short list are Keira Knightley, Kate Beckinsale, and Olivia Wilde.
