2012 Release Date For ‘On the Road’?
Posted by Lisa on April 26, 2011 • Leave a message? / 1 Comment

I came across this article and translated it using the Google translator. I am not certain of it’s accuracy but it does start to give us a general timeline for the film. I was hoping that it would be released late this year in time for awards season but it is still possible so don’t lose hope.

The director Walter Salles has just returned from the United States. Crossed the country from one side to another with the filming of “On the Road, “a film inspired by the book by Jack Kerouac. The filmmaker spoke with Glamurama and added a few stories.

“Six years of preparation, ” said Waltinho, who managed to close co-production with no less than Francis Ford Coppola and the French MK2. “We crossed the USA from start to finish with a team of five people. We also went by Canada and Mexico. “Everything to cause the viewer what he calls a ” sense of displacement and desire for discovery, “which follow the book by Kerouac.

Waltinho, moreover, is not the only star of the production. In the cast are Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams, Alice Braga, and others. The assembly must be completed in late September, and the movie hits the big screen in 2012.

Shameless Plug: Minka Kelly Network
Posted by Lisa on April 25, 2011 • Leave a message? / No Comments

Hey all! Going to take a moment away from Amy-land and shamelessly advertise my new site dedicated to Minka Kelly. Her most famous role is probably that of Lyla Garrity in Friday Night Lights but she’s been in lots of other film and television projects. If you’re a fan of hers, be sure to give Minka Kelly Network a visit!

Amy on Mark Wahlberg
Posted by Lisa on April 21, 2011 • Leave a message? / No Comments

Yesterday I made a post saying that Amy’s The Fighter costar Mark Wahlberg was chosen as one of Time Magazine’s 100 influential people. I now have the short paragraph that Amy wrote in praise of Mark.  The issue should be on newsstands tomorrow for anyone who wants it.

I have to admit that as I made my way to meet Mark for the first time, I didn’t really know what to expect. We were meeting for a business lunch to discuss working on a project together. As he entered, he seemed pretty much as one would assume: good-looking, a commanding presence, and a casual swagger that can only be associated with true confidence. But what began to unfold as I talked to him was a sincere conversation that brought forth his deeper character. He was insightful, instinctual and extremely funny. My favorite thing about Mark, 39, is that he is genuine. He shares his true self through his work, through his philanthropic efforts and through his commitment to all of his endeavors. Mark never shies away from the truth. I have seen firsthand the way he puts people at ease with his honesty, because people will always respond to truth. Mark is a powerhouse. He has a work ethic that is incomparable. He is where he is because of his hard work, his talent and his sheer force of will. I have no doubt that he can and will accomplish anything he sets his mind to. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Mark Wahlberg in Time’s 100 Influential List
Posted by Lisa on April 20, 2011 • Leave a message? / No Comments

I don’t think there will be any photos of Amy in this issue of Time, but she will be writing about Mark so be sure to pick up a copy!

Amy Poehler, Mark Wahlberg, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Chris Colfer, Blake Lively and Sting made the list. What list is that? It’s the Time 100 List of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Time 100 figures are profiled by other notables in the magazine’s next issue. For example, Aziz Ansari writes about Poehler; Amy Adams about Wahlberg; Usher about Bieber; B.o.B about Mars; Dianna Agron about Colfer; Baz Luhrmann about Lively; and Esperanza Spalding about Sting.

‘Man of Steel’ Plot Leaked?
Posted by Lisa on April 18, 2011 • Leave a message? / No Comments

This really doesn’t give away much and there is no mention of how large of role Amy’s character (Lois Lane) will have in the film.

A young reporter named Clark Kent roams the world covering various news stories. When he is compelled to use his secret powers to intervene in a crisis in West Africa, he returns to Smallville to learn more about his origins and the hero he was born to be.

It looks to me like Warner Bros. registered some details of the film, most likely with casting services who fed it to Baseline, somehow, but have since decided to play coy. I’d be prepared to make a reasonable sized bet on the above being the film’s story.

I don’t think it’s locked, I just like the odds. A lot.

The next puzzle would be ‘What does Zod have to do with all this?’

There’s probably something thematic going on about corrupt dictatorial leaders and warring factions of the same populace, on Krypton as much as in Africa, but we still don’t have any indication as to how these pieces of plot might fit together.

Back on February 18th a low key screening of The Fighter was held in Santa Monica. After the screening, the lucky viewers were treated to a short Q&A session with Amy and director David O. Russell. And now, thanks to the very generous email donation from Beverly, we have some MQ photos of Amy from this little known event.

Amy Passes on ‘Rock of Ages’
Posted by Lisa on April 13, 2011 • Leave a message? / 4 Comments

According to Deadline, Amy has passed on the role of the journalist who sings and sleeps with Tom Cruise’s character in Rock of Ages. It wasn’t for lack of interest in the part. It seems her role as Lois Lane in the upcoming Man of Steel made her schedule “complicated.”

Another singing role would have been awesome to see but I also don’t want Amy to overwork herself so this is probably for the best.
